Q: Do you have a callout charge?
A: No.
Q: When do you come out to see my job?
A: We usually come out in the evening after the day's work. We can
arrange other times given some notice if you would prefer. We always come
out to see a job together.
Q: Will you give a quote over the phone?
A: No - from experience, we find that all jobs, homes and
requirements are different, so we always make a visit to properly assess
the job. This way we can give an accurate quote without any hidden,
unforeseen costs.
Q: Do you charge by the hour?
A: No - we find that it is better to give a fixed price for the job
rather than charge by the hour. That way you know exactly what the job
will cost before we start.
Q: Does your price include VAT?
A: We are not registered for VAT so the price we give is the price
you pay.
Q: What if I want to add to the job after you have started?
A: No problem - we will recalculate and quote you before we do the
additional work.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes - we have full product and public liability insurance.
Q: I have new carpets. Will you take off your shoes?
A: No - for health and safety reasons we wear steel toecap shoes,
but we always carry plastic shoe covers which we can wear to protect your carpets. We also
put down clean dust sheets in the area where we are working.
Q: You say you are reliable - please explain.
A: When we say 9 o'clock start - we will be there at 9 o'clock. If
we are likely to be late because of unforeseen circumstances, we will
phone you.
Q: You say you are tidy - please explain.
A: We put clean dust sheets down, wear overshoes when necessary, use
an industrial vacuum cleaner with a fine filter, and do a final clean when
the job is finished so you don't have to.
Q: How do you like to be paid.
A: Cash or cheque - a written receipt is always given.
